Life can take a toll on our smiles and leave us with a range of dental problems. However, you don’t have to settle for a smile that’s not functioning at its best. We offer a host of restorative dental treatments to get your oral health back on track. These include bridges, crowns, fillings, dentures, implants, and more. Restorative care isn’t just about the function of your teeth; we keep their appearance in mind too. Our goal is to provide restorations that look just as great as they feel!
Restorative dentistry focuses on the treatment and management of oral health conditions. Although there is some overlap with cosmetic dentistry, which seeks to improve the appearance of your smile, restorative dentistry is primarily focused on restoring function that has been lost due to disease or trauma. At Skyline Dental, we combine restorative and cosmetic dentistry so we can give you a smile that both looks great and is healthy.
We are also general dentists, so in addition to our restorative and cosmetic dental procedures, we can help you maintain good oral hygiene and perform regular dental check-ups. This can help prevent the need for restorative procedures. In the case that you do need any restorative treatments, we use state-of-the-art technology to make the process as simple and pain-free as possible.
After tooth decay is removed, we use a tooth-colored, composite resin to fill the recessed area left behind from the decay. Composite fillings are more subtle and discreet than their traditional silver counterparts. This leaves you with a better looking smile while still restoring the function of teeth that have been damaged by cavities.
A crown is a ceramic cap that completely covers a tooth. Crowns are a versatile treatment that can fix chipped, cracked, or broken teeth. They can also help support a weak tooth or top dental implants for tooth replacement. We use crowns that look as similar to a natural tooth as possible and also allow you to eat normally.
A dental bridge is a prosthesis that replaces one or more missing teeth. It connects to existing teeth on either side of the gap (or dental implants) and has realistic-looking replacement teeth to complete your smile. Like crowns, this is both cosmetic and restorative as it improves the appearance of your smile while also helping you eat and talk more naturally.
Dental implants are metal posts that can be used to mount replacement teeth. If you are getting implants, we can work hand-in-hand with your oral surgeon to create natural-looking crowns, bridges, or dentures to attach to your implants to complete the process and restore your smile.
Whether you’re missing most or all of your teeth, dentures can help. In addition to traditional dentures that are held in place with strong adhesives, we can also provide denture stabilization with implants. This procedure keeps dentures firmly in place which can alleviate the discomfort that comes with dentures that constantly shift in your mouth.
At Skyline Dental, we are committed to the oral health of our patients. Our restorative dental procedures are one more way that we help you get the beautiful and healthy smile you’ve always dreamed of. We accept a variety of dental insurance plans. If your insurance does not cover your procedure or we are not in your network, we also accept third-party financing options. We are happy to work with you to find the best way to pay for the treatment you need.
