Relaxing Sedation Dentistry

- Nitrous oxide is a sweet-smelling gas administered through a soft mask that goes over the nose. It puts patients in a euphoric, happy state-of-being. Because its effects wear off quickly, nitrous oxide is safe for kids and adults can drive themselves home after their appointment.
- Oral conscious sedation is a prescribed pill that patients take before their appointment. It is for more severe cases of anxiety and for patients receiving complex dental treatments. Its effects last longer, so someone will be needed to drive you home after your appointment.
